Como's Cesc Fàbregas and Nico Paz delivered heartfelt messages to the club's supporters after the side secured a historic UEFA Champions League victory over Manchester United — dedicating the landmark result to fans who stood by the club through difficult years.

The pair singled out the loyalty of Como's faithful, acknowledging that the supporters endured considerable hardship before the club reached this level of European competition.

For a club of Como's stature, a Champions League win over one of the most storied names in English football represents a monumental achievement — and Fàbregas and Paz made clear that the moment belonged as much to the stands as to the pitch.
