FIFA has moved to cancel World Cup tickets that were mistakenly issued free of charge to roughly 60 fans, after a technical error on the official ticketing website allowed the purchases to go through without payment.

The governing body confirmed the cancellations, making clear that the tickets — obtained at no cost due to the glitch — would not be honoured at the tournament.
