Flying Eagles Star Tahir Maigana Joins Hungarian Side Zalaegerszegi TE

Nigerian youth international Tahir Maigana has sealed a permanent transfer to Hungarian club Zalaegerszegi TE, leaving Abuja-based FC Wireless to begin his professional career in Europe.

The 18-year-old winger has penned a three-year deal with Zalaegerszegi TE, with an option for a further year built into the agreement.

A proven performer at U-20 level

Maigana arrives in Hungary with a strong international pedigree. He was a consistent presence in the Flying Eagles squad that claimed bronze at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, appearing in all six of Nigeria's matches throughout the competition.

The winger also featured for Nigeria at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, a tournament that further cemented his standing as one of the country's most exciting young talents.
