A Texas local has etched his name into football history — Immy Khan, a resident of Fort Worth, was identified as the 50 millionth supporter to pass through the gates of a FIFA World Cup match since the tournament's inaugural edition in 1930.

The milestone was reached during match 93 of FIFA World Cup 2026™, as Spain defeated Portugal 1-0 in the round of 16 at Dallas Stadium. A full house of 70,649 fans filled the venue for the occasion, pushing total attendance at this edition of the tournament to 6,071,923 and the all-time FIFA World Cup figure to 50,020,653.

Eleven matches remain in the record-setting 23rd edition of the competition, jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

A milestone moment for Khan

Khan, whose family has roots in Pakistan, was attending his ninth match of FIFA World Cup 2026. To mark the occasion, FIFA Legends Carles Puyol and Pepe presented him with an oversized commemorative ticket on the day.
