Galatasaray club doctor Yener İnce has tempered expectations over Victor Osimhen's availability for Friday's Turkish Super Lig home fixture against Kasımpaşa at RAMS Park, warning that the striker's recovery is still being managed with caution.
Osimhen has been absent for three consecutive matches across all competitions since picking up an injury during Galatasaray's 3-2 win over İstanbul Başakşehir last month. The setback also forced him to miss Nigeria's 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying ties against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.
A serious muscle injury
İnce described the injury as more significant than it may have appeared publicly, revealing that Osimhen suffered a Grade 2 hematoma — a severe bleed within a muscle group — that required specialist drainage.
