Gary Neville Requests to Be Pulled from Manchester City Fixtures

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has asked to be removed from coverage of Manchester City matches for the foreseeable future, citing the uncertainty hanging over the club following a landmark guilty verdict on financial misconduct charges.
An independent commission ruled last month that Manchester City had breached Premier League financial regulations across a nine-year period. The club now faces the prospect of a points deduction or more severe sanctions, with final verdicts expected in the coming months.
Neville's discomfort on full display
Neville was present at Anfield on Sunday as City dismantled a ten-man Liverpool 3-0, extending their unbeaten run at the start of the season to six games. He worked alongside commentator Peter Drury and fellow pundit Jamie Carragher for Sky Sports.
Speaking after the final whistle, the former Manchester United right-back — a lifelong Red Devils supporter — was candid about his discomfort covering a club mired in such serious allegations.
