Ghanaian Witch Doctor Targets Harry Kane Ahead of World Cup 2026 Clash

Ghana's most celebrated spiritual practitioner, Nana Kwaku Bonsam, has declared that he intends to place a curse on England striker Harry Kane ahead of the two nations' World Cup 2026 fixture, according to Daily Star.

The match between Ghana and England takes place on Tuesday, and Nana — whose name translates literally as "Devil of Wednesday" — has a history of deploying his alleged powers to give Ghana an advantage on the world stage.

Nana's track record with star players

The self-styled spiritual healer rose to prominence during the 2014 World Cup, when he claimed responsibility for a knee injury that disrupted Cristiano Ronaldo's preparations ahead of Portugal's group-stage encounter with Ghana. He stated that he conjured a special powder from his gods, combined with leaves and ritual concoctions, which he arranged around an image of the former Manchester United forward.

At the time, Nana said: "I said it four months ago that I will work on Cristiano Ronaldo seriously and rule him out of the World Cup or at least prevent him from playing against Ghana. This injury can never be cured by any medic — they can never see what is causing the injury because it is spiritual. Today it is his knee, tomorrow it is his thigh, next day it is something else."

Kane in his sights

Now, with Ghana set to face England, Nana has turned his attention to Kane, one of the most prolific strikers in world football.

"I am working on Harry Kane," he said. "I have shown what I am capable of before, so I know what work I must do to stop him. I am not wishing him serious injury — it will be just enough to stop him against my country. I will do my work so that it can help Ghana."

Nana draws his powers from the Kofi Oo Kofi shrine and describes himself as 'Africa's only Authentic Man.' His offerings include spiritual healing, protection, guidance, and rituals.

Whether his intervention carries any weight beyond belief remains a matter of faith — but for Ghana supporters, every advantage counts ahead of a stern test against England.
