Anthony Gordon wasted no time making his mark at Barcelona, netting in the 2nd minute to ignite a dominant 3-0 victory over Getafe at the Nou Camp that keeps the Catalan club top of LaLiga.

The goal — Gordon's first in a Barcelona shirt — came almost immediately after kick-off, catching Getafe completely off guard and setting the tone for a one-sided contest. Barcelona controlled every phase of the game thereafter, adding two further goals to put the result beyond any doubt.

The win reinforces Barcelona's position at the summit of LaLiga, with the Blaugrana showing the kind of ruthless efficiency that title contenders demand. Getafe, who have struggled to contain elite opposition this season, were unable to respond at any stage.

Gordon's breakthrough on the scoresheet will be a welcome moment for the forward, who arrived at Barcelona with high expectations and will hope this opener sparks a productive run of form at one of football's most storied clubs.
