Danish club Hobro IK have confirmed the signing of Nigerian forward Onyebuchi Obasi, who arrives from Norwegian side Vålerenga on a three-year contract.
The 21-year-old becomes the club's fourth addition of the summer window, having previously made his way to Vålerenga from Nigerian academy Beyond Limits in 2024. During his time in Norway, he spent last season on loan at Swedish outfit FC Stockholm, where he continued to grow as a player.
What Hobro IK's sporting director said
Sporting director Lars Justesen made clear that Obasi had been identified through a combination of networking and data-driven scouting before the club made their move.
