Three Premier League clubs — Hull City, Ipswich Town, and Coventry City — are all pursuing England-born Nigeria midfielder Tim Iroegbunam, who has emerged as one of the most sought-after players on the transfer market, according to talkSPORT.

Everton are now open to offers for the 23-year-old after completing a deal worth around £7 million to sign former Brentford captain Christian Norgaard, 32, from Arsenal. The Danish midfielder arrives as a direct replacement for Idrissa Gana Gueye, who departed Goodison Park when his contract expired this summer.

Everton ready to sell as contract clock ticks

With Iroegbunam's deal at Everton set to expire in 12 months, the club are unwilling to risk losing him for nothing and are prepared to cash in this summer. Hull City, Ipswich Town, and Coventry City have each made approaches, though no formal bids have been submitted yet — offers are expected to follow shortly.

Interest is not limited to England. Sources have confirmed that two Italian clubs have also identified Iroegbunam as a target. A loan arrangement remains on the table, but only on condition that it includes an obligation-to-buy clause.

Reports have placed Iroegbunam's market value at around £20 million, although talkSPORT's sources have not verified that figure.

A career built across England's top flight

Iroegbunam began his professional journey at West Bromwich Albion, where he made a single bench appearance in a Premier League fixture against Leeds United on 23 May 2021. He moved to Aston Villa the following month in an undisclosed deal, linking up with their under-23 setup before breaking into the first team.

His Premier League debut came on 26 February 2022, when he entered as a late substitute for Philippe Coutinho during a 2-0 away victory over Brighton & Hove Albion. He subsequently joined Everton in June 2024 for a reported fee of around £9 million, committing to a three-year contract.

On the international stage, Iroegbunam received his first call-up to the England under-20 side for matches against Poland and Germany in March 2022. He has since switched his international allegiance to Nigeria.
