Hull City Sign Ilyas Ansah from Union Berlin in £12.8m Deal

Hull City have completed the signing of German forward Ilyas Ansah from Bundesliga club Union Berlin, agreeing a five-year contract with the player in a deal worth a reported 15m euros (£12.8m) up front, with a further 12m euros (£10.2m) available in add-ons.
Ansah, who stands 6ft 4in tall and turns 22 in November, becomes the club's 13th acquisition of the summer transfer window. Hull have made a strong start to life back in the Premier League, winning their opening two matches after a nine-year absence from England's top flight.
The Germany Under-21 international registered five goals in 36 appearances across all competitions for Union Berlin last season. His arrival adds height and attacking depth to a squad already riding high on early-season momentum.
"I'm very excited. It's a dream come true for me to play in the Premier League, and for such a big club — it's really an honour for me," Ansah said. "I'm definitely a player who always gives his best and leaves it all on the pitch."
The forward also expressed enthusiasm about integrating with his new teammates, saying he had heard positive things about the club and was eager to get to know the squad.
Hull's busy summer is not yet over. The club are also close to securing the signature of Tim Iroegbunam from Everton, with a £22m package agreed for the midfielder.
