FIFA President Gianni Infantino has visited Mexico City to launch the FIFA Boots for All programme, touring the Mexican Football Federation's (FMF) newly renovated High Performance Centre (CAR) and inaugurating a special exhibition honouring the country's football heritage ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The programme, first launched in Paris on 22 March 2026, provides free football boots to disadvantaged children worldwide. FIFA has procured 20,000 pairs of FIFA-branded boots across nine sizes for use in training, competition, and leisure — with the initial phase targeting girls and boys who would otherwise be unable to afford a pair.

During his visit to the CAR, Infantino was accompanied by Concacaf President Vittorio Montagliani and met FMF President Ivar Sisniega, FMF Commissioner Mikel Arriola, and presidents of Liga MX clubs. In a gesture of appreciation, the FMF named the centre's main building after the FIFA President.
