Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has expressed his anger at the delays caused by fourth official Tim Robinson during Saturday's 2-2 Premier League draw with Nottingham Forest at Anfield, claiming the substitution process cost his side a chance to retake control of the game.

With the score level at 1-1 in the second half, Iraola sought to introduce Ryan Gravenberch, Kostas Tsimikas, and Rio Ngumoha simultaneously. Despite the ball going out of play on three separate occasions — presenting ample opportunity to pause the game — the trio remained on the touchline while Robinson struggled with the substitution board.

A costly stoppage

The situation turned critical on the third occasion. Rather than halting play for the changes, Nottingham Forest seized the moment with a quick throw-in, launching an attack that ended with wing-back Neco Williams breaking behind the Liverpool backline. Goalkeeper Alisson brought Williams down as he lifted a shot toward goal, and referee Samuel Barrott pointed to the spot.
