ITV's Broadcast Team for Netherlands vs Japan at World Cup 2026 Revealed

2 hours ago·2 min

ITV has confirmed the full broadcast lineup for the Netherlands vs Japan Group F clash at FIFA World Cup 2026, with the match scheduled to kick off at 9pm BST.

Presenter Laura Woods — a familiar face from both ITV and TNT Sports — will host coverage of the evening's second fixture, which follows immediately after Germany vs Curacao. Fans across the UK can watch live on ITV and ITVX.

A star-studded studio panel

Woods will be joined in the studio by Roy Keane, Gary Neville, and Ange Postecoglou. Keane and Neville, both former Manchester United players, are established fixtures on ITV's major tournament coverage and are regulars on the Stick to Football podcast.

Postecoglou adds genuine World Cup managerial pedigree to the panel, having guided Australia to the 2014 World Cup. His campaign with the Socceroos, however, produced three defeats — including one against Netherlands — with further losses to Chile and Spain. The former Tottenham Hotspur manager has also appeared as a guest on Stick to Football.

The studio team will provide build-up analysis ahead of the match, then return at half-time and full-time with further insight.

Commentary team

Lead commentator Jon Champion, whose broadcasting career has spanned BBC's Match of the Day, NBC, and ESPN, will call the action. He is joined in the gantry by Ally McCoist, a former Scotland international and current TNT Sports analyst, who will be in fine spirits after Scotland's 1-0 victory over Haiti.

For Netherlands, the match represents the opening game of their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign — a side still chasing a first world title after runner-up finishes in 1974, 1978, and 2010. Japan, meanwhile, arrive with strong European-based talent and ambitions to surpass their best-ever result of reaching the Round of 16.
