Alex Iwobi etched his name into Premier League history on Saturday, reaching 100 top-flight appearances for Fulham — even as his side fell to a 3-2 home defeat against Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage.

The milestone made Iwobi only the fifth player in Premier League history to accumulate at least 100 appearances for three different clubs. Before him, only Gary Speed, Rory Delap, Gareth Barry, and James Milner had achieved the feat.

A career built across three clubs

The Nigeria international began his Premier League journey at Arsenal, where he came through the academy ranks and went on to make 100 league appearances. He then moved to Everton in 2019, racking up 123 Premier League outings before signing for Fulham in 2023.

Now 30 years old, Iwobi has made himself an integral part of Fulham's first-team setup since arriving at Craven Cottage, and Saturday's landmark appearance underlines the consistency he has shown throughout his career at the highest level of English football.

Bitter milestone

The historic moment was, however, overshadowed by the result. Crystal Palace claimed all three points with a 3-2 victory, leaving Fulham without a win at home on the day their midfielder wrote himself into the record books.

Despite the defeat, Iwobi's achievement stands as a remarkable testament to his durability and adaptability across more than a decade in the Premier League — a competition where sustained success at multiple clubs is exceedingly rare.
