Hull City manager Sergej Jakirovic did not hold back in his assessment of his side's performance after a 1-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage, describing the contest as a mismatch between "men against boys."

Jakirovic was candid in his verdict, saying Fulham were "much better" across the board and acknowledging that his Hull City squad were outclassed on the day. The blunt post-match admission underlines the scale of the challenge facing the club.

The loss at Craven Cottage leaves Hull City with serious questions to answer, as Fulham controlled proceedings from start to finish. Jakirovic offered no excuses, instead pointing directly to the gulf in quality between the two sides.

It was a difficult afternoon for Hull City, who struggled to match Fulham's intensity and technical quality throughout the 90 minutes. The manager's stark language signals that significant improvements are needed if the club is to be competitive going forward.
