Jordan Name 26-Man Squad for Historic World Cup Debut

Jordan have confirmed a 26-man squad for their debut at the FIFA World Cup 2026, with coach Jamal Sellami naming the final group set to make history this summer in the United States.
Rennes forward Mousa Al-Tamari earns his place in the squad, while Al-Sailiya striker Ali Olwan leads the group as the top scorer among the players selected.
Haddad returns from long-term injury
Captain Ehsan Haddad has been included after recovering from an Achilles injury that kept him sidelined for nearly a year. His return is a significant boost for Sellami's side heading into the tournament.
There is, however, no place for striker Yazan Al-Naimat, who remains unavailable after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury at the Arab Cup in December.
Tough group awaits
Jordan's preparations conclude with a friendly against Colombia in San Diego on 7 June before the squad turns its attention to Group J.
Sellami's men open their World Cup campaign against Austria in Santa Clara on 16 June, before facing Algeria in the same venue on 22 June. Their group stage finale pits them against holders Argentina in Dallas on 27 June.
