Julián Álvarez broke a near six-month goal drought on Tuesday, netting for Atlético Madrid in a 1-1 draw away to Stuttgart in the UEFA Champions League.

The Argentine forward had not found the back of the net for Atlético since April — a lengthy wait that came to an end as his side battled to rescue a point on the road.

Álvarez had expressed confidence that his first goal in Atlético colours since the move from Manchester City was only a matter of time, and he delivered on that belief with a timely equaliser in Germany.
