Harry Kane delivered two assists as Bayern Munich came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw at Augsburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday, denying the German champions the opportunity to climb to the top of the table.

Augsburg came close to pulling off one of the results of the season, holding Bayern for long stretches and threatening a famous victory over the reigning champions. Kane's creative contributions, however, proved decisive in preventing what would have been a shock defeat for the Munich giants.

Despite the comeback, the point gained falls short of what Bayern needed. A win would have sent them to the summit of the Bundesliga, but the draw leaves them watching from below the top spot as rivals retain the advantage.

The result is a reminder that Bayern, even with a player of Kane's quality pulling the strings, are far from untouchable this season in Germany's top flight.
