Katsina United are set to welcome Enyimba to the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Friday night for a Matchday Eight clash in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), marking only the second Friday night fixture of the 2026/27 campaign.

The first Friday night game of the season saw Shooting Stars claim a 2-1 win over Inter Lagos, and the format returns with another high-profile encounter in northern Nigeria.

Katsina United's winless run

The hosts arrive at this fixture without a victory in their last two league outings. The Chanji Boys drew 1-1 with Rivers United before sharing the spoils again — another 1-1 result — against Inter Lagos last weekend, leaving them in need of a positive result at home.

Enyimba's momentum

The visitors, meanwhile, come into the match with growing confidence. Emmanuel Deutsch's side are on a three-game unbeaten run in the league, picking up two wins and a draw across that stretch.

The Aba-based club will be eager to maintain that momentum and extend their unbeaten sequence as they travel to face Katsina United on Friday.
