Kazeem Adeyanju has completed a free transfer from Plateau United to South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) club Stellenbosch, becoming the fifth Nigerian player in the club's history.

The midfielder spent last season in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with Plateau United before making the move south. Stellenbosch confirmed that all registration formalities were wrapped up last month, clearing Adeyanju to represent the club throughout the 2026/27 campaign.

"Stellenbosch Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Nigerian midfielder Adeyanju Kazeem on a free transfer,"

A growing Nigerian presence at Stellenbosch

Adeyanju follows in the footsteps of Stanley Dimgba, Ibraheem Jabaar, Kazie Enyinnaya, and Olisa Ndah — four Nigerians who have previously worn the Stellenbosch colours. He will take the No. 29 jersey for the upcoming season.

His debut could come sooner rather than later. Stellenbosch are set to face Kaizer Chiefs in the Betway Premiership on Tuesday evening, with Adeyanju in contention to feature from the outset.
