Frank Lampard has called on Coventry City to keep their feet on the ground after his side recorded a commanding 4-1 victory over Newcastle United — their first home win of the season.

The result was a statement performance from Coventry City, who put four past Newcastle United without reply until a late consolation for the visitors. Lampard, speaking after the final whistle, was quick to temper expectations despite the scale of the win.

The head coach acknowledged the importance of the victory but stressed that consistency, not a single result, would define the team's campaign. For Coventry City, building on this performance will be the immediate priority as the Premier League season unfolds.
