Liverpool Make Contact With RB Leipzig Over Ivory Coast Winger Yan Diomande

Liverpool have reached out to RB Leipzig to register their interest in 19-year-old winger Yan Diomande, though Sky Sports News understands no formal offer has yet been submitted.
The Ivory Coast international has attracted attention from several high-profile clubs in recent months. Both Manchester City and Manchester United have been linked, while Sky in Germany reported back in April that Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring the situation. Leipzig, for their part, are eager to tie Diomande down to a new contract.
Diomande's PSG admission
Diomande has made little secret of his admiration for PSG, telling French outlet Telefoot 1 that a move to Ligue 1 holds genuine appeal. "It would be a pleasure to play with one of the biggest clubs," he said. "I don't think the adaptation to French football would be difficult. So why not?"
He was also quick to add his current status: "But after all, I'm a RB Leipzig player."
When asked about PSG's back-to-back Champions League titles, Diomande revealed a personal connection to the club. "Yes, because my dad supports PSG. So it was great for me to see them win," he said. Pressed on whether he would like to pull on a PSG shirt himself, his answer was straightforward: "Yeah, I like them a lot."
Liverpool's approach signals an increasingly competitive race for Diomande's signature, with the summer transfer window set to intensify interest from clubs across Europe.
