Liverpool are reportedly ready to return to the Bournemouth well for yet another top talent, with Spanish outlet Fichajes claiming the club are targeting left-back Adrien Truffert in a deal that could cost as much as £60 million.

The Merseyside club have built a notable relationship with Bournemouth in recent years. Manager Andoni Iraola arrived at Anfield in the summer after an impressive spell at the Vitality Stadium, and Milos Kerkez was signed from the south coast club in 2025.

Truffert's rise under Iraola and beyond

Truffert stepped into Kerkez's boots at Bournemouth last season and has barely missed a beat. The 24-year-old French left-back impressed first under Iraola and has continued that form for new Bournemouth head coach Marco Rose, earning recognition at international level with a call-up to Zinedine Zidane's France squad during the most recent international break.

The timing of Liverpool's reported interest is significant. Kerkez has faced scrutiny at Anfield, with veteran Scot Andrew Robertson still earning the nod ahead of him at left-back on several occasions last season. Liverpool's pursuit of Truffert suggests the club believe a more authoritative option is needed in that position.
