Liverpool have placed Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola at the summit of their summer transfer targets, as the club moves to address a significant gap in attacking firepower.
The Reds are in the market for forward reinforcements following Mohamed Salah's exit, with the club's record signing Alexander Isak also enduring a difficult campaign. Barcola, a France international, has emerged as the primary candidate to fill that void.
PSG set a steep asking price
Paris Saint-Germain have no pressing financial motivation to sell. Having recently moved Goncalo Ramos for close to £60 million, the French champions are not under pressure to raise funds. Any deal for Barcola, they insist, would need to surpass £100 million.
According to The Athletic, PSG are using the £116 million Manchester City paid for Elliot Anderson as a benchmark — and believe Barcola is worth considerably more than that figure.
The club have offered Barcola a contract extension beyond his current two-year deal, though he is understood to be weighing all options before committing. His desire for more regular playing time has fuelled speculation over his future at the Parc des Princes.
