Liverpool Turn Attention to Sarr After Brighton Reject Minteh Bids

Liverpool have shifted their focus to Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr after Brighton & Hove Albion rejected two separate bids for Yankuba Minteh.

The Anfield club submitted offers of £50 million and £60 million for the 22-year-old Minteh, both of which were turned away by Brighton. Attention has since moved to Sarr, who contributed 21 goals for Crystal Palace last season.

Sarr, a right-sided winger like Minteh, brings Premier League experience to the table — but Crystal Palace are understood to have no desire to part with the Senegal international this summer. The attacker had attracted interest from Galatasaray as recently as last week.

Sources informed BBC Sport that Liverpool lodged a bid for Sarr, though both the Reds and Crystal Palace have publicly denied that any approach was made.

Sarr's manager wants him to stay

Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage made clear he hopes Sarr and fellow forward Jean-Philippe Mateta remain at Selhurst Park. On whether Sarr would stay, Sage said:
