Mamelodi Sundowns Eye Nigerian Defender Olisa Ndah

Mamelodi Sundowns are tracking free agent Olisa Ndah as they look to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the new season, according to South African outlet Foot Africa via Complete Sports Nigeria.

The Nigerian centre-back became available after his contract with Stellenbosch FC expired. Ndah had joined Stellenbosch FC midway through last season following his departure from Orlando Pirates, but managed only seven appearances for the club due to work permit complications.

A proven performer in South African football

Before his move to Stellenbosch FC, Ndah built a strong reputation at Orlando Pirates, establishing himself as one of the standout defenders in the South African top flight and collecting several major trophies during his time there.

The 28-year-old former Akwa United player is now attracting interest from Sundowns, who are eager to reinforce their backline as they prepare for what is expected to be a demanding campaign. Talks between the African champions and Ndah's representatives are said to be moving in a positive direction.

Super Eagles experience

Ndah has earned four caps for Nigeria's Super Eagles and was part of the squad that represented the country at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. Should the move to Sundowns materialise, he would be joining one of the continent's most decorated club sides.
