Man City Threaten Legal Action Over Real Madrid Candidate's Haaland Pledge

Manchester City have threatened legal action against Real Madrid presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme after he publicly pledged to sign Erling Haaland should he win Sunday's election against incumbent president Florentino Perez.

Riquelme made the claim on Spanish television programme El Hormiguero on Wednesday night, asserting that Haaland possesses a release clause and is eager to move to the Bernabeu. He went further by holding up a Real Madrid shirt bearing the name 'Haaland 9' on the back. Riquelme also promised to bring Haaland's City team-mate Rodri to the club.
