Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly set to battle each other for the signature of Bournemouth and France left-back Adrien Truffert, with the 24-year-old valued at around £60 million.

The interest from two of England's most storied clubs signals a potentially fierce summer fight for Truffert, who has established himself as one of the top full-backs in the Premier League.

Morton attracting Premier League attention

Newcastle United are leading the race to sign Lyon midfielder Tyler Morton ahead of Nottingham Forest. The 23-year-old left Liverpool last year and has been turning heads with his performances in Ligue 1.

Elsewhere, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal are all keeping close tabs on Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah. The England international, also 23, has continued to impress in the Bundesliga since his departure from Liverpool.

Odegaard and Alvarez in Arsenal spotlight

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, 27, is expected to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium by signing a new long-term deal, following manager Mikel Arteta in committing his future to the club.

The Gunners are also preparing a fresh move for Atletico Madrid and Argentina striker Julian Alvarez, 26, in January. The forward is reportedly now open to the switch to north London after previously resisting a departure from Atletico Madrid.

Other transfer developments

Barcelona are tracking Brazil and Athletico Paranaense defender Arthur Dias, 19, who had previously attracted an £18 million bid from Tottenham Hotspur.

Former Real Madrid full-back Dani Carvajal, 34, remains without a club after a proposed move to Getafe fell through, leaving him a free agent.

Finally, Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have both registered interest in Tottenham Hotspur teenager Luca Williams-Barnett, who made his Spurs debut at just 16 years of age.
