Manchester City Agree Fee With Nottingham Forest for Elliot Anderson

1 hour ago·1 min

Manchester City have reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest to sign midfielder Elliot Anderson, with Forest granting the player permission to undergo a medical at a date yet to be confirmed.

Anderson is currently in the United States with England's World Cup squad, where he has started both of the Three Lions' group-stage matches so far at the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Medical timing to be decided

The scheduling of Anderson's medical remains under discussion, as England are set to face Panama on Saturday in their final Group L fixture. Pep Guardiola's new target has been a consistent starter for his national side during the tournament.

England currently sit in pole position to advance from Group L as group winners, meaning the squad's focus remains firmly on the pitch before any off-field matters can be resolved.

Personal terms between the player and Manchester City are not expected to present any obstacle, with a deal widely anticipated to be completed once Anderson's international commitments conclude.
