Manchester City extended their perfect Premier League start to seven wins from seven matches, edging past Ipswich in a tense 3-2 contest that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

The victory underlined City's status as early-season frontrunners, though the margin of victory — a single goal — suggested Ipswich pushed them far harder than many expected.

Analysts praise City's 'dangerous' edge

Match of the Day pundits Joe Hart and Danny Murphy examined what drives Manchester City's relentless winning form, pointing to a cutting edge that Hart described as "dangerous."

Murphy echoed that assessment, noting that even when City are not at their fluid best, they find a way to grind out results — a hallmark of title-winning sides.

Ipswich refuse to be brushed aside

Ipswich made life difficult throughout, pulling the score to 3-2 and refusing to capitulate, a performance that will give their supporters encouragement despite the defeat.

The result leaves Manchester City sitting clear at the summit of the Premier League table, with a 100 percent record intact as the season gathers momentum.
