Manchester United are closing in on two significant summer departures, with goalkeeper Altay Bayindir reportedly set for a season-long loan to La Liga outfit Celta Vigo, while striker Joshua Zirkzee is edging toward a temporary switch to Juventus.

Bayindir bound for Spain

According to transfer reports, the two clubs have already agreed terms, with paperwork and medical examinations the final hurdles before Bayindir makes his move official. Celta Vigo manager Claudio Giraldez is said to have personally targeted the 28-year-old Turkish international as his top choice to compete with current goalkeeper Andrei Radu.

Bayindir arrived at Old Trafford in September 2023 from Fenerbahce in a deal worth approximately £4.3 million. His time in Manchester, however, never delivered on its promise — across three seasons, he made just 17 appearances in all competitions, spending the bulk of his spell as understudy first to Andre Onana and then to Senne Lammens.

A brief run of starts at the outset of last season under Ruben Amorim represented the peak of his involvement at the club. The subsequent arrival of Karl Darlow on a free transfer from Leeds United, combined with the continued presence of experienced cover in 40-year-old Tom Heaton, has effectively ended any realistic hope of Bayindir reclaiming a starting berth.

Zirkzee and a possible Juventus move

Separately, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that out-of-favour striker Joshua Zirkzee's representatives are in active discussions with Juventus, with talks also understood to be under way at club level. A loan deal is considered the most probable outcome, given that Zirkzee's contract at Old Trafford runs until June 2029.

The Dutch forward joined Manchester United from Bologna two summers ago but has struggled to make a consistent impact, registering just nine goals across 75 appearances in all competitions. A temporary move to Juventus would offer Zirkzee the opportunity for a fresh start in Serie A, the competition in which he made his name before arriving in England.
