Johan Manzambi scored with a header to hand Aston Villa a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United, a result that also marked a significant personal milestone for manager Unai Emery.

The goal proved decisive as Villa secured all three points at St. James' Park, leaving Newcastle with nothing to show from the Premier League encounter.

For Emery, the win carried added meaning — it represented his 100th victory in the Premier League, underlining his remarkable impact since taking charge at Villa Park.

The Spanish manager has transformed Aston Villa into a genuine top-flight contender since his arrival, and this latest triumph continues a run of impressive results in one of Europe's most competitive leagues.

Manzambi's match-winning contribution came from a headed finish, demonstrating Villa's ability to find solutions through different avenues — a hallmark of sides that challenge at the highest level.

Newcastle, meanwhile, were unable to find a way back into the contest, leaving the home faithful frustrated after a blank afternoon at St. James' Park.
