Enzo Maresca has broken his silence on Manchester City's landmark financial misconduct ruling, declaring that he "trusts the club completely" in his first public comments since the verdict was handed down.

The Chelsea manager's statement comes at a turbulent moment for City, who were found guilty of breaching financial rules — a case that has cast a long shadow over the club and English football as a whole.

Maresca offered no further elaboration on the verdict itself, but the directness of his public endorsement signals a notable show of loyalty to his former employers amid one of the most consequential disciplinary proceedings in Premier League history.
