Marseille Lead Chase for Super Eagles Striker Akor Adams

Olympique Marseille are the frontrunners to secure the signing of Nigeria international Akor Adams from Sevilla this summer, according to reports from Spanish outlet OrgulloBiri.
Sevilla open to offers
Sevilla are prepared to entertain bids for Adams as the club looks to address its financial situation and free up funds for squad investment. The Andalusian side have set an asking price of €30 million for the 26-year-old striker.
Adams arrived at Sevilla from Montpellier in January 2025 for a fee of €5.5 million. A sale at the reported valuation would represent a significant profit and place him among Sevilla's most lucrative departures — behind only Jules Koundé's €50 million switch to Barcelona and Diego Carlos' €31 million move to Aston Villa.
Marseille's striker hunt
Marseille are pursuing Adams as a potential replacement for Mason Greenwood, who is widely expected to depart the club ahead of the new season. The Ligue 1 club have identified the Super Eagles forward as their primary target to fill that role.
Adams turns his back on Saudi Arabia
Interest from Saudi Arabian clubs has also surfaced, but Adams is understood to prefer remaining in European football — a stance that effectively rules out a move to the Gulf region.
The Nigerian forward delivered an encouraging debut season in Spain, finishing as Sevilla's leading scorer with 10 goals and three assists across 32 league appearances.
