Rangers manager Derek McInnes has confirmed the club are pursuing further signings this summer, even as he acknowledged that patience will be required to land the right targets before the Scottish Premiership season kicks off.

The Ibrox side have already added five players to their squad: goalkeeper Ivan Pandur, defender Ben Godfrey on loan from Atalanta, returning player Ross McCrorie, Scotland striker Lawrence Shankland, and midfielder Dan Neil, who arrived following the expiry of his Sunderland contract.

Ready-made players the priority

McInnes was clear about the profile he wants to bring to Rangers, saying the club need players who arrive ready to perform from day one. Speaking to Sky Sports News, he emphasised character as much as quality, calling for individuals with a winning mentality and natural leadership.
