Paul Merson has described Arsenal's victory over Everton as a comfortable and controlled performance, backing the Gunners to build on their result as the Premier League season progresses.

The former Arsenal midfielder and Sky Sports pundit offered his assessment following the match on Saturday 24 October 2026, suggesting there was little to trouble Mikel Arteta's side on the day.

Merson's verdict points to an Arsenal team that handled their opponents without breaking into a sweat — a positive sign for a club chasing a title challenge deep into the campaign.
