Terem Moffi has spoken of his joy after playing a decisive role in Hamburg's stunning 3-2 comeback victory over Hoffenheim, a result that saw Die Rothosen overturn a deficit with just minutes to spare.
Hamburg were staring at defeat, trailing 2-1 with seven minutes left on the clock, when Moffi entered the action in the 76th minute as a substitute for Martin Adeline. The Nigerian striker wasted no time making an impact, finding the net seven minutes after coming on to draw his side level — his first goal for the club since arriving this summer.
The comeback was then completed in dramatic fashion by Miro Muheim, who struck deep into stoppage time to hand manager Merlin Polzin's side all three points in an away fixture that few would forget.
Moffi's words after the comeback
Reflecting on the victory, Moffi reserved particular praise for Muheim's delivery that set up his equaliser, describing the cross as exceptional.
