Moffi Opens Bundesliga Account as Hamburg Down Hoffenheim

1 hour ago·1 min

Terem Moffi marked his first Bundesliga goal for Hamburg in a dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Hoffenheim on Saturday, coming off the bench to turn the match on its head.

Hamburg were trailing 2-1 when Moffi entered the pitch in the 76th minute, replacing Martin Adeline. The Nigeria international wasted no time making an impact, levelling the score seven minutes after his introduction.

The match looked set for a draw until Miro Muheim struck deep into stoppage time to complete a memorable turnaround and hand Hamburg all three points.

The result lifts Merlin Polzin's side to 11th place in the Bundesliga table, accumulating six points from five matches. Moffi has been a consistent presence throughout Hamburg's campaign, featuring in every one of those league fixtures.

Hamburg will carry that momentum into their next Bundesliga outing when they take on VfB Stuttgart.
