Morocco, Egypt, Angola, and Algeria Set for Futsal Semi-Final Showdowns

1 hour ago·2 min

The TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 reaches its decisive stage on Monday, with four nations set to battle for a place in the final. Hosts Morocco face Egypt in the second semi-final at 20h00, while Angola and Algeria clash at 17h00 — both matches at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Hall in Rabat.

Morocco's perfect run

Morocco arrive at the semi-finals without conceding a single goal across their three Group A games. Manager Hicham Dguig's side put 17 goals past Algeria, Zambia, and Libya to sweep through the group stage as dominant hosts and defending champions.

Egypt, their Monday night opponents, bounced back from a difficult end to the group stage. The Pharaohs suffered a 4-2 defeat against Angola in their final group match, though victories over Tanzania and Mozambique had already guaranteed their place in the last four.

Angola's comeback and Algeria's debut

The day's earlier semi-final pits Angola against Algeria in what could be the more unpredictable contest. Angola closed the group stage in style — recovering from 2 goals down to beat Egypt 4-2, a result that underlined their resilience and ambition heading into Monday's clash.

Algeria arrive as tournament debutants, yet they have made a strong impression. The Fennecs suffered defeats to Morocco and drew with Libya before producing a commanding 7-4 victory over Zambia in their final Group A match to claim the last semi-final spot.

What's at stake

The two winning sides on Monday will meet in the final on Wednesday at 20h00, also at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Hall. The losing sides will contest the third-place match at 17h00 on the same day.

Semi-final fixtures — Monday, 19 October:

17h00: Angola vs Algeria

20h00: Morocco vs Egypt
