A street in New York City has been officially renamed in honour of Thierry Henry, with the tribute timed to coincide with the build-up to the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The renaming marks a symbolic recognition of Henry's connection to the sport and to the host city, as the United States prepares to welcome the world's biggest football tournament alongside Canada and Mexico.
