Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Neymar will not feature in Brazil's opening World Cup fixture against Morocco on Saturday, as the 34-year-old continues to battle a calf injury that has kept him from full training.
The manager revealed that the forward — previously a cornerstone at Barcelona and Paris St-Germain — is expected to rejoin group training sessions next week. Even then, his availability for Brazil's second group-stage match, against Haiti on 20 June, remains in question.
Brazil's group campaign concludes on 24 June when they face Scotland.
