Two of Africa's most decorated football nations endured a bruising Matchday Two in the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations PAMOJA 2027 qualifying campaign, as Nigeria fell 3-0 to Guinea-Bissau and Ghana suffered a stunning 4-2 collapse against The Gambia.

Guinea-Bissau 3-0 Nigeria — Group L

Guinea-Bissau delivered one of the most emphatic results in recent qualifying history, dismantling Nigeria on home soil to move to a perfect six points from two matches in Group L.

Franculino broke the deadlock in the 15th minute, and Mama Baldé extended the lead midway through the second half. Álvaro Djaló added a third in the fifth minute of stoppage-time to complete a stunning victory.

The Super Eagles had opened their campaign with a 2-1 comeback win over Madagascar, but there was no such resilience this time. Guinea-Bissau had already beaten co-hosts Tanzania 2-0 away on Matchday One. With Tanzania automatically qualified, only the top-placed side among Guinea-Bissau, Nigeria, and Madagascar will claim the remaining finals berth from Group L.

Ghana 2-4 The Gambia — Group C

Ghana's qualifying campaign is in serious trouble after The Gambia turned a 2-0 deficit into a famous 4-2 victory, leaving the Black Stars without a single point from two matches.

Ernest Nuamah converted a penalty in the 27th minute and Felix Afena-Gyan doubled the advantage six minutes later to put Ghana firmly in control. The game turned dramatically before halftime — Muhammed Badamosi pulled one back from the spot in the 37th minute, then Omar Colley equalised five minutes later.

Ebrima Colley completed the turnaround on 68 minutes and added a fourth in stoppage-time to seal an extraordinary result. The Gambia now sit on six points following their earlier 2-1 win over Somalia, while Ghana have lost both fixtures — including a 2-0 defeat to Côte d'Ivoire on Matchday One.

Zambia 2-0 Togo — Group I

Zambia bounced back from an opening-match loss to Algeria with a composed 2-0 home win over Togo. Albert Kangwanda opened the scoring after just three minutes, converting from Fashion Sakala's assist. Substitute Eliya Mandanji sealed the result with a 95th-minute goal to give Chipolopolo their first three points of the campaign. Togo remain on three points after their Matchday One win over Burundi.

Cape Verde 1-2 Rwanda — Group K

Rwanda made it six points from six with a spirited comeback win away to Cape Verde. Benchimol gave the hosts the lead five minutes before halftime, but Claude Niyomugabo levelled in first-half stoppage-time. Elie Iradukunda Tatou settled the contest seven minutes after the restart. Cape Verde are still searching for their first point after also losing 3-1 to Mali on Matchday One.

Uganda 1-0 Libya — Group H

Co-hosts Uganda maintained their unbeaten start with a narrow win over Libya, thanks to Arnold Vula's first-half stoppage-time goal. Uganda had drawn 1-1 away to Tunisia on Matchday One and now have four points from two matches. Libya remain on one point. As PAMOJA 2027 co-hosts, Uganda are already assured of a place at the finals — meaning only the highest-placed team among Tunisia, Libya, and Botswana will qualify alongside them from Group H.
