Nottingham Forest have secured the signing of Ivory Coast international Ousmane Diomande from Portuguese giants Sporting in a deal reported to be worth £34 million.
The 22-year-old centre-back has put pen to paper on a four-year contract at the City Ground, with Forest holding an option to extend the deal by a further year.
Diomande expressed his delight at joining one of England's most storied clubs. "I am very happy to be here. It is a historic club, and it motivates me to join such a club," he said. "I believe we can achieve very good things this season and I am looking forward to meeting the players and head coach. I will give my best."
The defender arrives with considerable experience behind him, having made 132 first-team appearances for the Lisbon outfit across his time there. He also featured for Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup and has accumulated 15 caps for his country in total.
