Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Ivory Coast defender Ousmane Diomande from Sporting, agreeing a four-year deal worth a fixed fee of £34.3m (€40m).
The 22-year-old joins Forest after weeks of negotiations between the two clubs, with head coach Oliver Glasner identified as the driving force behind the move. Glasner had previously attempted to bring Diomande to Crystal Palace during his time in charge there.
The deal represents a significant investment by Forest as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
