Frank Onyeka delivered a composed cameo to help Coventry City sweep aside Newcastle United 4-1 in a Premier League fixture on Monday night, earning strong ratings from local media in the process.

The Nigeria international entered the pitch for just 12 minutes, yet his contribution proved meaningful as Coventry secured back-to-back victories in the English top flight this season. The Coventry Telegraph awarded Onyeka a score of 6.5 out of 10, noting that he "added steel and fresh legs to help see out the result."

Fifth league appearance of the season

The win marked Onyeka's fifth Premier League outing for newly promoted Coventry City, with the Nigerian midfielder continuing to make an impression despite limited playing time.

Meanwhile, Onyeka's international teammate Taiwo Awoniyi was absent for the contest — the striker sat out due to suspension under manager Frank Lampard.
