Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk has confirmed that Victor Osimhen is carrying a groin problem following the Nigerian striker's early exit during Friday's 3-2 win over Istanbul Başakşehir in the Turkish league.

Osimhen gave the defending champions the lead in the 13th minute, collecting a pass from Lucas Torreira before finishing with composure. The 27-year-old then went down injured later in the first half, receiving treatment on the pitch before being withdrawn for Barış Alper Yılmaz in the 33rd minute.

Buruk's assessment

Speaking on Galatasaray's official website after the match, Buruk outlined the nature of the injury and offered cautious optimism.
