Pedro Neto Double Sends Chelsea Above Everton as Rogers Escapes Red Card

Chelsea claimed a 2-0 victory over Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday to inflict the home side's first Premier League defeat of the season, with Pedro Neto netting twice in the second half and Morgan Rogers avoiding a red card before the break.
Neto struck just 43 seconds after the restart to break the deadlock, then added a second in the 90th minute to secure three points. The result lifts Chelsea above Everton in the standings — onto 13 points from seven games — and into the Champions League places.
Rogers escapes punishment
The game's major talking point arrived before half-time when Rogers went in studs-high on Everton's James Garner. The Chelsea forward failed to make contact with the ball, yet referee Paul Tierney took no action, to the bewilderment of many watching on.
