Spanish Segunda División side Real Zaragoza have secured the services of Nigerian midfielder Peter Ademo, signing him from Moldovan club Sheriff Tiraspol on a four-year contract running until 2030.
A career built across Europe
Ademo began his professional journey in 2022 with Lithuanian outfit Dainava. He made his mark in his second season there, contributing one goal and two assists across 19 league appearances — form that attracted attention from higher up the football ladder.
Sheriff Tiraspol moved for the defensive midfielder in 2023, though consistent first-team minutes proved elusive during his opening two seasons at the Moldovan giants. A loan spell at Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest followed, giving Ademo the competitive football he needed to develop.
Breakthrough at Sheriff
Ademo returned to Sheriff Tiraspol ahead of the 2024/25 campaign and delivered his most productive season yet. He registered four goals and three assists in 40 appearances across all competitions, cementing his reputation as a composed and industrious presence in midfield.
That form persuaded Real Zaragoza — a former La Liga club chasing a return to Spain's top flight — to make their move. The 23-year-old passed a medical and was formally confirmed by the club.
