The Premier League has unveiled its festive fixture schedule, with 29 matches set to be broadcast live on Sky Sports between Boxing Day and January 7.

The early announcement — made more than three months ahead of the Christmas period — is designed to help supporters plan travel arrangements during one of football's busiest stretches. The decision followed consultation with the Football Supporters' Association and club Fan Advisory Board representatives.

Boxing Day and Super Sunday highlights

Seven Premier League matches are scheduled for Boxing Day, December 26, with Sky Sports carrying a double header. Hull City take on Liverpool at 5.30pm, followed by Newcastle vs Manchester City at 8pm.

The festive action continues the following day with a triple header on Super Sunday, December 27. Coventry City host Chelsea at 2pm — a fixture that sees Frank Lampard face his former club — before Manchester United welcome Nottingham Forest at 4.30pm, and Crystal Palace meet Arsenal at 7pm.

Midweek rounds and New Year fixtures

Two full midweek rounds will see every match broadcast live. The first runs across Tuesday December 29 and Wednesday December 30, featuring nine fixtures including Aston Villa vs Liverpool at 8.15pm and Ipswich Town vs Chelsea at 8.15pm on the Wednesday.

The second midweek block spans Tuesday January 5 through Thursday January 7, rounding off the festive period. That run concludes with Manchester United vs Newcastle on January 7, kicking off at 8pm.

In between, Sky Sports will show Leeds vs Everton on Friday Night Football on New Year's Day (January 1, 8pm), followed by Bournemouth vs Aston Villa on Saturday January 3 at 5.30pm. Super Sunday on January 4 brings Chelsea vs Newcastle at 2pm and Man City vs Tottenham at 4.30pm.

Every Premier League club has been guaranteed at least 60 hours of recovery time between their Christmas and New Year fixtures, a measure introduced to ease player welfare concerns during the congested schedule.
